Tim Adiwiyata SMKN 1 Trenggalek berksempatan mengikuti apel peringatan Hari Peduli Sampah Nasional (HPSN) 2019, di TPA Srabah Kecamatan Bendungan Kabupaten Trenggalek. Dalam Apel peringatan Hari Peduli Sampah Nasional (HPSN) 2019 tersebut buka oleh Bupati Trenggalek, H. Mochamad Nur Arifin. Buapati trenggalek dala pidatonya menghibau kepada seluruh warga Kabupaten Trenggalek untuk mengurangi sampah plastik dengan tidak menggunakan wadah plastik dalam aktivitas sehari-hari.
“Jangan lagi menggunakan air minum dalam kemasan. Beli galon dan sediakan wadah non plastik biar menuang sendiri-sendiri. Kalau perlu ASN bawa wadah minum sendiri dari rumah,” tegas Nur Arifin memberikan sambutan dalam peringatan HPSN di Trenggalek.
Hal ini disampaikan Nur Arifin, menyikapi fenomena yang terjadi, timbunan sampah plastik yang cukup besar setiap harinya. Padahal sampah-sampah plastik ini susah diurai dan membutuhkan waktu yang cukup panjang untuk bisa terurai, sehingga keberadaannya sering menjadikan permasalahaan lingkungan.
Ditambahkan pria yang memiliki 3 orang anak ini, pengelolaan sampah yang buruk tidak hanya menimbulkan permasalahan lingkungan saja, melainkan juga mengancam keberlangsungan hidup, hewan, tumbuhan bahkan manusia.
Plt. Bupati Trenggalek ini juga menyinggung mengenai kesadaran masyarakat yang kurang dalam menjaga kebersihan lingkungan khususnya di tempat-tempat wisata.
Kebiasaan membuang sampah di sungai sudah sangat memprihatikan, karena muaranya di Laut. “Bila dibiarkan lama kelamaan sampah akan menimbun laut,” imbuh Nur Arifin.
Maka dari itu diperlukan kesadaran bersama untuk bijak membuang dan mengelola sampah tidak hanya bagi Pemerintah saja, melainkan juga seluruh elemen masyarakat maupun pihak swasta maupun lembaga, tukas Plt Bupati ini.
Memperingati HPSN 2019 Pemerintah Kabupaten Trenggalek menggelar Apel bersama di TPA Srabah. Hadir dalam Apel ini Kapolres Trenggalek, AKBP Didit Bambang W. S. SIK, beberapa Kepala OPD, TNI-POLRI,pasukan kuning, kalangan pelajar dan masih banyak yang lainnya.
